Internship: The National Journalism Center

While studying at Catholic University for the MSBA program, I was also working several internships. The first internship was with The National Journalism Center and that led to several other opportunities. Currently, I am working as a research assistant at The Washington Examiner, The Wall Street Journal, The National Journalism Center, and as a Journalist for The Catholic News Service.

The opportunity to work for these different organizations has complimented my work in the MSBA program. For example, each internship requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively (an absolute necessity in business). Furthermore, each position requires an analytical mind that can not only disseminate information but one that can clearly present it to a broad audience. While we discussed case studies in class, I would later go across town and write about real-life case studies. Learning about business while simultaneously working these internships has been a great experience in that it has allowed me to get hands-on experience with those tools necessary for success in a business setting. -Becket Adams
